Ladies and Gentlemen, The Biktrix Thunder Recumbent E-Bike.
Man, oh, man. Look what we have here!
I'm half expecting this kind of vehicle to be seen in some Mad Max movie, judging from its unique design. I assure you, you sit in this, and you will not want to get out.
This is the Biktrix Thunder Recumbent E-Bike. The frame was designed by Dapu, a Japanese company. It's powered by a rear-hub motor pumping 750 watts, from a 48V/16Ah Li-ion battery sitting above the 26'' tall back wheel.
Recumbent bikes are usually a little heavier, though. This e-bike is 34kg for just the frame and motor. When you add an extra 6 kg for the battery, the total weight of the Thunder is 40kgs, or 88 lbs! However, Biktrix and Dapu once again gives you the best. The motor and battery combo, matched with 80nm (Newton meters) of torque produced, the Thunder's unlocked top speed is 28mph - that's 45kph on a recumbent bike! With that amount of power, torque, and the width from the front axle promoting insane balance, nothing can stand in your way. Period. End of story.
It even has side mirrors, so you can see behind you! Don't forget to shoulder check and mind your blind-spots!
You get to sit, lounge, pedal, and go almost 50 kph to your heart's content on this sleek, futuristic frame design built to turn some heads and drop some jaws. Have fun out there, and keep riding!
