Several years back I brought my Trek mountain to BIKTRIX for them to install their conversion kit. That was opening up a whole new experience for me. With the electric component I was able to try new adventures in cycling. Distance, hills, or wind were no longer challenges. After years of e-biking I decided to upgrade so I sold my Trek e-bike and now am in the midst of assembling a new combination. The new Bafang conversion kit is the same as my old one, but the bigger battery will give me a longer range, for example to Pike Lake and back home without recharging. Riding the Kona Lava Dome will also give me a new thrill. I can’t wait for my new conversion to be completed in my own garage. Then I can hit the Saskatoon bike trails even before summer arrives! Hope to meet you some time out on the road. Cheers. Denis.
This is the third mid drive I have installed. The first one that I installed has got well over 12,000 kms on it and have not had one problem with it. The second one, on my wife’s bike has approximately 4,000 kms on it. I just installed a new 700 watt BBS02B on my Marin 27.5 plus and can’t believe the improvement. Great on hills as compared to my original bbso2. The only problem is that it’s now easier to use up the amps much faster. Solution to that is an upgrade from a 11.5 amp 48volt battery to a much larger capacity one. Will be talking to Roshan soon on that subject. One just can’t go wrong with these conversion kits, believe me I ride most every day year round and have covered in excess of 15,000 kms in the last 2 years. Have to go now and get in my 30-35 kms for the day. Rosco
