Juggernaut Ultra Duo 2 Step-Thru

Seems to be a great bike so far. Has the torque and range I was hoping for.
Had to blurp the rear brake fairly soon after it arrived. Thanks for covering the kit cost.
The derailleur wasn't properly adjusted, and I had to take it to a bike shop. The chain broke. It shifts better now. I am trying to work on my shifting skills.
Had to get a new seat post clamp. The original broke and seemed to be lower quality. The seat is of good size, but of marginal quality. I am replacing it.
I still think the bike will be exceptional once everything is worked ou,t and I have it set up as desired.

First Impressions - 97 out of 100

Juggernaut Ultra Duo 2 with A-frame handlebar and Suntour seat post. I experienced an out-of-box issue at dlivery which required me to do a repair before riding but Biktrix support was excellent overall. I wish the email replies would have been within 24 hours but I understand demand issues. It would have been very helpful that the final technical responses had come in the initial inquiries, but we got there to everybody's satisfaction.

I took my Ultra Duo 2 out today for the first time, to test it in the environment for which it was purchased; Eastern North Carolina woods roads with patches of deep fine sand, some road gravel, eroded ruts, some hills and even taking off through the trees in a pine tree farm. I had a BLAST! I found myself generally riding in the lowest gears, 2nd or 3rd, with PAS levels of 2-3 and 4-5 on really steep hills or long stretches of difficult sand. I had all the fine motor control that I was looking for and powered up the steep hills without my knees yelling at me. So far it is what I had hoped for.

Why 97 out of 100? The A-frame handlebars didn't sweep back as far as I hoped for and after 7 miles of riding I was experiencing a bit of ache in the heels of my hands, but I think I can resolve some of that with some fine tuning. I wish the Bafang Ultra motor was quieter but I'll trade sound for the power. I wish I had paid for the upgraded brakes. I wish there were better owner manuals for the bike itself, maybe I just haven't found them yet. I am really happy with the combination of the shock absorbing front forks, the springs in the seat plus the Suntour shock absorbing seat post, it made easy riding on all those bumps. I wish the yellow color frame was available.

As long as you are prepared to deal with the weight of this bike when transporting to all those great trails and roads out there, I don't believe there is a better combination of performance/power/ability vs. cost on the market at this time. I've decided to buy a second bike for my wife, look out primitive roads!

Ultra Duo 2 - SO MUCH BETTER than I anticipated

I moved from a hub drive to mid drive motor and the difference is more/better than I could have anticipated. So much more control over your speed. The RANGE is incredible. Where/how I ride (about 500 ft elevation gain and going between PAS 1-3), I am getting 25+ miles using only 5-10% of the main battery (90-97% battery remaining). With the extra/Duo battery I rode 30 miles with 98% batter life remaining. Pretty incredible!! Of course if you move to PAS 5 sport mode the battery would drain much more quickly. Super smooth ride! So happy I took the leap of faith on Bitrix and the Ultra Duo 2!

Frustrating start

My bike was shipped on March 4th and took a week to arrive. There were several delays in shipping. Stuff like that happens. But when my bike arrived on Friday March 11th and I returned from work to assemble it, Biktrix was closed. I quickly discovered that there was no assembly manual that the videos tell you is included. I have some mechanical aptitude so was able to assemble the bike with relative ease. Until I had to attach the front fender and armageddon headlight. I tried every way possible to try and attach the fender. It was impossible. The fender stays would not reach the fork. I emailed my concerns hoping I would hear from Biktrix support on Monday. They emailed me back and asked me to send photos of the problem, which I did. They sent me pics of where the holes and stays were to attach. It was not helpful and my frustration continued as I kept wondering why this was such a persistent issue. Eventually someone from customer support told me to go to my local bike store to get a replacement fender and pre-authorized funds for me to do so. While appreciated what sounded like a fix, they didn’t have 4in fenders in stock.

It was only when they looked at my bike did they see the problem. The fender on my bike was installed backwards at Biktrix. This immediately explained why my fender stays wouldn’t reach and attach. Once the fork was turned around, the fender stays attached perfectly. I have only ridden my bike home and loved it. I am looking forward to riding my juggernaut, but it has taken over 2 weeks. I hope Biktrix Support can learn from my experience and I have many problem free rides ahead of me.
