Very happy with the bikes

Ordered 2 challenger 2 bikes for the wife and I. Love, Love, Love! We have about 100 miles on them so far for the 1st week end and we had so much fun. Nothing to complain about so far except for the rear shocks which are very stiff . Great value for the price.

Challenger 2

Can’t say enough about the challenger 2. The all-around shocks are a must for a 70 year old very comfortable. The torque is right up there with the power very comfortable. You will not be disappointed our staff and support team we’re great and the shipping time was awesome and the battery on all electric will outlast you, excellent bike

Early thoughts

The instruction manual is very basic and the website for the installation video is dead and doesn't work nor is there any specific video on the biktrix YouTube channel. That would have been really helpful as the instructions have no photos and are sparse on instructions. The bike is a lot bigger than I expected, looked a lot smaller in the photos. The seat is comfy, but not ergonomic for pedalling. The cargo rack at the back is extremely limited in use, I haven't found a way to easily strap anything to it yet, perhaps you could strap a milk crate to it for example. Would have been nice if out of the box there was a method to use it to transport a bike lock even or have a guard on the sides so you could attach panniers to the rear rack. The brakes squeal a lot right out of the box, I've partially broken them in now, but still lots of screeching even though my pads are centered, would be good to include tips on how to deal with that in the instructions. The pedal assist is not intuitive at all, basically you tell it what speed you want to go and then it assists to keep you there. That works pretty good for cruising around, but I wish at level 1 it wasn't such a kick in the pants to accelerate from a stop, it makes slow control very difficult when you're trying to navigate in or out of a parking area for example. Nice that a bell was included. I found the stock headlight to be underpowered. All that being said, it's handled some pretty big hills without a problem, range has been good, battery life is good, I've gotten a lot of compliments. Because it's so fat and huge it is hard to chain to a bike rack, I'm always attaching it on the very ends and it can be difficult depending on the rack. Would be nice to have spots on the frame to attach a frame bag or bottle holders/lock holder. Would be nice if there was an option of tires when ordering, the knobby tires are overkill for what I'm doing and plan on buying some smoother tires down the line. Overall seems to be a good value for money.
