“Do I need a mid-drive?”
Honest answer: only for steep, technical terrain. Mid-drives climb mountains. For field edges, bush trails, cutlines and stand access, a 750W hub with two batteries goes further on a charge than our mid-drives do stock — and there's less to learn and less to maintain. If you hunt real elevation, you want the Ultra Hunter's Edition → . If you hunt where most Canadians hunt, you're on the right page.

Is 750W actually enough?
For field edges, bush trails, cutlines and stand access — yes, with a loaded trailer. It's not a mountain bike; if you hunt real elevation, the Ultra Duo 4's mid-drive is the right tool and we'll tell you so on the phone.
What happens to range in the cold?
Lithium range drops in the cold. Keep the spare battery inside your jacket and swap when needed; store and charge both indoors. Two batteries is exactly why this rig is built for Canadian seasons.
How do I charge two batteries?
One charger, both batteries — removable with a key twist. Charge one while you ride the other, or both overnight.
Will I outgrow it?
If you end up hunting terrain that needs more climb than a hub-drive gives, you've learned exactly what your next bike is — and the trailer, panniers and spare battery carry over. Most hunters on accessible ground never get there.
Can I lift it onto my truck?
63.9 lb without the battery, about 72 lbs with one in. Pull the battery (one key twist) and it's the lightest rig we sell — a two-hand lift onto a hitch rack. Most first-timers keep it on a hitch rack or in the truck bed all season.
Is it legal where I hunt?
Switch ride classes to stay compliant on the roads and trails you ride. Rules vary by province and land manager — check yours before you ride.
How much can it carry — me, gear, and a deer on the trailer?
Bike: 300 lb rider + gear. Trailer: 400 lbs.
Why not just buy a cheaper bike?
Because a cheaper bike is just a bike. You'd still be shopping for a trailer, a second battery, racks and bags before you could hunt with it — and hoping they all fit. This is the finished kit at $3,099, built in Saskatoon, with a Canadian phone number on it.
