What Battery Should I Choose?

Batteries are one of those things that you usually do not want to skimp on. We never hear anyone complaining that they get too much range from a charge. This is why we recommend getting the biggest battery you can afford.

Biktrix is proud to offer some of the largest ebike batteries on the market. Even when you pick our smallest battery option, it is often much larger than the largest offered by our competitors.

A good way to estimate approximate ride time is as follows:

  1. Calculate/check the Wh (Watt-hour) rating of the battery. This is V x Ah. Eg. 52V x 10Ah = 520Wh
  2. Check the wattage of the motor on the bike you’re considering. Eg. 500W
  3. This means that if you had to use this 500W bike at full power with a 520Wh battery, you would get roughly 520Wh/500W = ~1hour of riding.

[Batteries are like energy tanks on an eBike. Using our high capacity automotive-grade cell Battery Packs ensures that you can travel longer distances without the need for frequent recharges. Since batteries take time to recharge, buying the largest capacity that you can afford would be the best idea.

An eBike battery is usually specced using Voltage & Amp-hours (V&Ah), therefore while comparing specs between the two batteries with the same voltage rating compare the Ah (Amp-hour) rating between them, since more Ah = more capacity.

While buying a DUO bike we highly recommend not missing the opportunity of buying a Range Extender which also functions as a Standby Spare in case the primary battery is not charged or fails.]

Note that you likely won’t be using 100% power (500W) all the time, this means you would get more range if you use lesser power.

Inclusions

This package can be purchased within 30 Days from the date of delivery or while placing the eBike order whichever is earlier. BiktrixCare+ will cover the following list of eBike parts for manufacturing defects under the respective packages. BiktrixCare+ Gold is transferable once from the original buyer to another person subject to notifying the transfer of ownership to BEB.

*Motors

BEB will request to ship the motor to the Service Centre if the defect is fixable. Labour and parts cost is included in the motor service at BEB’s Service Centre. If the defect is unfixable BEB will issue a refurbished replacement. Shipping charges are excluded for the motor service. For Hub-Motors the maximum liability is the cost of the motor.

**Cancellation & Refund

BiktrixCare+ alone cannot be cancelled or refunded once the bike has been shipped. If the bike is returned under the first 14-day return window for a refund, 100% of the amount paid for this package would be refunded. If BEB decides to sever all relations with an owner under Section 19 this package would be deemed terminated with no refund

Great bike, poor delivery carrier service

So far so good with my new bike. Love the power and features. As I continue to play with the adjustment features I feel I will find the sweet spot of comfort and ride. Unfortunately puorlator, the company that delivered it was very difficult to deal with. After waiting on hold several times ( the delivery was 3 days beyond there posted expected time) they told me the sub-contract the final delivery and they have no idea when it should arrive. They had passed it on and they effectively washed their hands of the process The bike did arrive 4 days after the said with no pre warning it was out for deliver. I think you might want to consider a different carrier.

So far has been a great bike. Took my husband about 30 minutes to finishing assembling. Has had to do a few tweeks but that is to be expected.

Right for the ride

Already have two Biktrix Stunners in the Okanagan. Have used them for five years. Good for big hills. Recently took advantage of two for one Swift Lites for Vancouver Island (not many hills). Have ridden them twice and they fill the bill. Nice and light and maneuverable. Easy to ride without PAS. They arrived four days after ordering. We’re easy to assemble. Front fender stays are too short but a slight alteration (straightened and rebent) solved that problem.
